With a natural refreshment in your hand, made of exotic fruit and served from a coconut with bamboo straws. Delicious. But then this vision starts slipping away again. Too bad. It was just an imagination. But it doesn't need to be like this. With reusable bamboo straws, you bring that holiday feeling right into your home.

Bamboo is the perfect material for straws because it is a hollow type of grass. The empty core of bamboo makes the production process of our straws efficient and eco-friendly. In addition, we find it essential to keep our products as natural as possible. For our bamboo straws, this means that the straws you get can differ in diameter. Is this something wrong? Not at all. It ensures you have a versatile set for all kinds of drinks. From smoothies to cocktails, from juices to hot beverages.

And reusing them? How do I clean my bamboo straws?

Bamboo straws are easy to clean with the provided cleaning brush. Just follow these steps:

1. Push the brush completely through a used straw
2. Then pull the brush back. 
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 if needed
4. Finally, rinse with water
5. Ready for the next round!

We advise you not to put the bamboo straws in the dishwasher, which may shorten their lifespan. Also, the machine won't get the straws as clean as you would with the brush.  Fortunately, manual cleaning is a snap. Take proper care, and they will last many, many drinks.

Sustainable and animal-friendly bamboo

Like many of our products, these beautiful straws consist of bamboo. For various reasons, bamboo is a highly sustainable material. First of all, it is the fastest-growing plant in the world. The kind we use, moso bamboo, grows up to one meter per day under optimal conditions.

The origin and cycle of a bamboo plant are also very sustainable. Bamboo does not grow from seeds but one extensive root system. Using at least five-year-old bamboo keeps the root system healthy and intact, and new branches grow constantly.

Most importantly, however, we are not a threat to pandas. Their diet consists of more than 90% bamboo. Fortunately, they prefer to eat the leaves that grow close to the ground. Therefore, their choice does not fall on moso bamboo. The leaves of this kind grow too high.
