Why you should choose shampoo without plastic

Regular shampoo is almost always sold in plastic bottles which are extremely difficult to recycle. These bottles are considered extremely harmful to the environment. By choosing plastic-free shampoo you prevent a lot of unnecessary plastic waste. Our shampoo bars also last a very long time. One bar equals three to four shampoo bottles. So they are not only good for the environment, but also for your wallet.

In addition, our plastic-free shampoo bars are also free from parabens. This is a collective name for a number of chemicals made from parahydroxybenzoic acid that are used in cosmetic products to make them last longer. However, they can also be harmful to your health. No surprise we have chosen to only sell hair care products made from natural products.

What's in our plastic-free shampoo?

As an alternative to plastic shampoo bottles, we sell environmentally friendly shampoo bars. This is a shampoo in a solid form which is very similar to a bar of soap. The bars contain only natural ingredients, such as:

• Shea Butter. This is a vegetable fat that comes from the fruit of the African tree Vitellaria paradoxa. It has an extremely caring character and is very good for your hair.
• Quinoa. This is mainly known as a superfood, partly because it contains so many natural and vegan proteins. But quinoa is also good for your hair, as it strengthens and nourishes and adds shine to your hair.
• Olive oil. Also an ingredient that is mainly known from the kitchen. It's full of antioxidants that are healthy and protective for your hair.

How do you use the shampoo bars?

You use our shampoo bars as follows:

1. Wet your hands and rub it over the shampoo bar. This creates foam. You can also rub the bar directly through your hair.
2. Soap your hair with this foam to clean them from grease and dirt.
3. Rinse your hair again and enjoy the result.

Types of plastic-free shampoo at Bamboovement
