The bamboo toothbrush is the solution for this problem. Bamboo toothbrushes are biodegradable and are made from sustainable and animal-friendly material. You may think that switching to a bamboo toothbrush will not make a difference, but we see it from a different perspective. Our bamboo toothbrushes are almost completely biodegradable. The bamboo handles, for example, are 100% plastic-free. They are made from sustainable and animal-friendly bamboo. Bamboo is an ideal material for sustainable products, as it is the fastest growing plant in the world. Under optimal conditions it grows up to a meter a day! In addition, the plant does not grow from seeds but from a root system, from which new branches constantly grow. And finally, the bamboo we use is panda-friendly, because its leaves grow too high for these animals to reach.
Unfortunately, our bamboo toothbrushes are not yet 100% biodegradable. The bristles are made of nylon 610, which requires castor oil. Although this oil is more environmentally friendly than the commonly used petroleum, it's not yet ideal. That's why we continue to work on a better formula.
